Rohit Krishan Puri has been appointed as deputy company secretary and compliance officer of Bharti Airtel Limited. He succeeds Rajendra Chopra.

SP Subramanian has been appointed as assistant vice president-sales (Mobile) of Intex Technologies.

Dr Supoj Chinveeraphan has been appointed as chief strategy officer of Thaicom.

Arun M. Kumar has been elected as chairman and CEO of KPMG in India. He succeeds Richard Rekhy, who led the firm as CEO for over 4 years.

Balesh Sharma has been appointed as the chief operating officer of Vodafone India. He succeeds Naveen Chopra.

N Srinath has been re-appointed as managing director and key managerial personnel of Tata Teleservices for a further period of 3 years with effect from February 1, 2017.

V Ramakrishnan has been appointed as chief financial officer of Tata Consultancy Services. Ramakrishnan takes over from Rajesh Gopinathan, who has been appointed as the managing director on the board.

BT has named Chet Patel as the new head of its operations in continental Europe, overseeing its base across key European hubs.

Jesse Robbers has been appointed as chief commercial officer of Amsterdam Internet Exchange.

Julian Wilkins, government relations and public affairs director at Digicel Group, has been re-elected as chairman of the Caribbean Association of National Telecommunications (CANTO).

Promoted

Hideo Tanimoto will be promoted as president of Kyocera Corporation, effective April 1. Tanimoto, currently director and managing executive officer, will become Kyocera’s president, representative director, and executive officer – taking over from Goro Yamaguchi, who will become chairman and representative director.

Xiaomi has elevated its India head Manu Kumar Jain to a global role as its vice president. He will succeed Hugo Barra.

Millicom has promoted Mohamed Dabbour to be CEO of its African operations, replacing Cynthia Gordon, who has left the company.

Resigned

Dr Ashok Jhunjhunwala has resigned as non-executive independent director of Tata Teleservices.

Sanjay Mehrotra has stepped down from the Western Digital’s board of directors, effective immediately.

Shigenori Shiga, chairman, Toshiba, has stepped down.

Pradeep Sindhu, CTO and co-founder of Juniper Networks has stepped down to run cloud startup Fungible.
