Telia Company said that Anders Olsson, chief operating officer and head of global services and operations (GSO) at Telia Company, has been appointed executive vice president and CEO of Telia Sweden from 01 June. He replaces Johan Dennelind, president and CEO of Telia Company, who has been acting CEO of Telia Sweden. Magnus Zetterberg will replace Olsson as COO and head of GSO in October at the latest, having left the role of CTO at Telenor Norway in March.

Henriette Wendt, head of Telia Company’s businesses in Lithuania, Estonia and Denmark, will leave her position and will be replaced by Emil Nilsson, who is currently senior vice president and head of the Eurasia region. Nilsson becomes a member of the group executive management and still remains head of the Eurasia region operations.

Dennelind said that Zetterberg’s “deep understanding” of Telia’s line of business is a welcome addition to the company and to GSO. Dennelind also praised Wendt for her “great job”, saying that in the last year and a half, she has made sure that the Telia brands in Lithuania and Estonia are on the right path to become “integrated, converged market leaders”.
