Telia holds talks Over Potential Acquisition of Bonnier Broadcasting

In response to media speculation, Telia Company said it is negotiations regarding a potential acquisition of Bonnier Broadcasting. Content is an important part of Telia’s future strategy and it continuously investigates possibilities in this and other areas, the operator said. The discussions with Bonnier are to be seen in that context, it added.

Telia Company said it has no other comments to make at this stage but will communicate further if and when appropriate.

Bonnier Broadcasting covers C More and TV4 in Sweden as well as MTV in Finland. The division lifted EBITDA in 2017 to SEK 423 million from SEK 373 million. C More is still loss-making although it has gained SVoD customers and launched its first original dramas last year. – Telecom Paper
