IMC 2025
Bots for good — Empowering young minds to transform communities
The Robotics for Good Youth Challenge at IMC 2025 was organized in collaboration with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and IIT Delhi’s I-Hub, focusing on empowering youth to create AI-driven robotic solutions for real-world challenges, especially food security. Open to students aged 10 to 18, the Indian National Event was a primary qualifier for the global Robotics for Good Grand Finale at the 2026 AI for Good Global Summit in Geneva. This year’s challenge tasked participants with designing, building, and programming robots to address agricultural issues such as efficient irrigation, selective cultivation, and sustainable harvesting.
Teams competed across junior and senior categories, presenting scalable, innovative robot designs capable of performing agricultural missions autonomously under timed conditions. The top teams earned opportunities to attend the global finale, network with UN and industry leaders, and gain international recognition. The challenge fostered practical engineering, coding, problem-solving, and teamwork, strengthening India’s next generation of digital and STEM innovators.
