ZTE Axon S 5G Phone Could Be Announced Soon

According to a new leak, ZTE is planning to launch a new device called Axon S which will be a 5G phone with a slider on the side. The leak of the device reveals a small side protruding that slides in and out from the phone’s panel. This device will be coming with a total of five cameras out of which two are placed on the front while three can be found on the rear.

We last saw a slider phone a few years back and looks like ZTE is looking to revive this design. Furthermore, this upcoming device is said to be coming with the support for 5G mobile networks and could also be the companies first 5G mobile. ZTE has been banned by the US and this has delayed the Chinese manufacturer to bring a 5G smartphone since they have been denied access to the American Technologies.

ZTE does not have access to the Qualcomm chipsets along with the license to Android builds with Google Play Services has made the company unstable. For this reason, ZTE was not able to make smartphones in mid-2018 and lost most of its market in the US in spite of having a partnership with the prepaid carriers in the country. ZTE is now experimenting with its 5G slider smartphone and this innovation might just give the boot that the company.

Looking at the leaked image, on the back, there isn’t any camera or a logo placed since a triple camera set along with the LED flash can be seen on the slider with the ZTE branding on the bottom of the slider. On the front, the handset will not be having any notch or display hole as the camera is placed on the slider itself which will be giving a high body-to-screen ratio. Well, we need to wait a few more days to get more details about the device and comment in the section below if you want to share more details about the device.―Phone Radar
