The FTTH Council Europe is proud to announce the FTTH Conference 2024, Europe’s leading fibre optic event of the year, set to take place at Messe Berlin – Hub27 from 19th to 21st March 2024. As the leading event in its category, the FTTH Conference brings together industry experts, policymakers, investors, and vendors to explore the latest trends, innovations, and strategies shaping the future of fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) networks.

In this era of rapid information flow, fibre optic connectivity is essential for technological progress. Key highlights

Expert workshops. Kicking off on the first day, the event will host 24 expert workshops, featuring Members, Partners, and Committees of the FTTH Council Europe. These workshops aim to provide in-depth insights into various aspects of fibre optic technology, offering hands-on sessions on topics such as investment trends and alternative fibre business models, successful business cases in sustainability, diversity, and inclusion, and monetization of in-home connectivity, as well as on policy & regulation strategies to boost adoption of fibre-based services and fibre rollout completion.
Executive Conference line-up. The conference boasts a stellar line-up of senior leaders representing the operator, policymaker, investor, and vendor communities. With 16 panel sessions and multiple keynotes, days two and three will cover crucial topics such as market evolutions, the latest technology trends, investment trajectories, regulatory frameworks, the presentation of the FTTH Council Europe’s annual market reports, including the well-known FTTH/B Market Panorama, and key market focuses on Poland and Baltics, the UK and Germany.
German spotlight. While maintaining a pan-European perspective, the 2024 edition places a strong focus on Germany. The conference will feature a keynote address by the German Federal Minister of Digital Affairs and Transport, Volker Wissing, and a powerful panel session with C-level speakers from Deutsche Telekom, Deutsche Glasfaser, Deutsche GigaNetz, Vodafone Germany, and the national regulator, Bundesnetzagentur.
Large-scale participation: The event anticipates over 3500 registered delegates, with the participation of more than 120 exhibitors and partners showcasing cutting-edge fiber technologies in two exhibition halls.
High-level audience: The FTTH Conference attracts a high-profile audience with many decision makers (25% ‘C’ level and 21% Director level) and 38 percent of attendees coming from telecoms operators, communication service providers, utility companies, municipalities, contractors, local government, finance/investment companies, government bodies, regulatory bodies etc.
Enhanced networking opportunities. Attendees can benefit from an inclusive mobile app for networking, all-inclusive refreshments, and all-inclusive catering and refreshments throughout the three days. Special events include a cocktail reception during the trade show and the not-to-be-missed mid-week networking party, Fibration Night, at the impressive DogTap Berlin, Brewdog flagship venue on March 20, where high-level networking will be offered to ticket holders throughout the night.
FTTH Innovation awards. Introducing a new dimension to the traditional FTTH Awards, this year will feature the FTTH Innovation Awards. Fifteen leading fiber technology vendors have been shortlisted for five different categories, presenting their innovative solutions during the two-day exhibition. Attendees may experience the shortlisted, and will be able to meet the final winners during the dedicated FTTH Innovation Awards Ceremony on March 21 at 13:45 CET.
Open Exhibition Theatre: Delegates will have the opportunity to attend product presentations from leading sponsors at the Open Exhibition Theatre, offering insights into the latest advancements in fiber optic technology.
