WCCI acquires Philippines-based S Brands Consumer Care
Wipro Consumer Care International (WCCI) will acquire the Philippines-based personal care company S Brands Consumer Care. This acquisition marks the company’s 16th acquisition globally and its second in the Philippines, further strengthening its leadership position and growth platform across Southeast Asia.
Kumar Chander, CEO of Wipro Consumer Care & Lighting and Managing Director, Wipro Enterprises, said, “This acquisition is an important milestone in our journey to become one of Southeast Asia’s leading personal care companies. S Brands brings a portfolio of trusted, category-leading brands that complement our existing presence across the region and strengthen our position in key growth markets. As our 16th strategic acquisition, it reflects our long-term commitment to investing behind strong local brands and makes the Philippines our third market outside of India with revenues exceeding Rs 1000 crore.”
With this acquisition, Wipro Consumer Care International further strengthens its personal care portfolio. Operating in over 60 markets across Asia, the Middle East and Africa, the company continues to build a portfolio of consumer brands through a combination of organic growth and strategic acquisitions.
