Vodafone Idea Services Hit In Mumbai

Vodafone Idea confirmed that its network in parts of Mumbai were down on Thursday, but the largest telecom player added that it had managed to resurrect the services later on in the same day.

“Due to unforeseen occurrences, there was a temporary disruption in services in parts of Mumbai today. Our prompt response action ensured full restoration within a short time. We regret any inconvenience caused to our customers“, said the telecom company in a statement on Thursday.

The newest telecom player with about 384 million subscribers as of January end did not specify what the “unforeseen occurrences “ were.

The company has been expanding its 4G coverage and is still in the middle of its network integration post the merger of Vodafone India with Idea Cellular last year.―India Business News
