Trend Micro Presents New Channel Plans And Strategy For India

Cybersecurity solutions company Trend Micro announced its channel plans and strategy for 2019 in India.

The company has introduced the new managed service provider (MSP) program in India to accelerate its channel partners’ business by providing more recurring revenue opportunities with endpoint, data center, mobile, email, and cloud solutions.

Trend Micro has nearly 300 channel partners in India, out of which five are platinum partners and 10 are gold. All the focused partners have demonstrated a growth more than 100 percent; some of them are witnessing a three-fold growth. Trend Micro has 25 channel partners in India who contribute significantly to revenue.

“We are in the process of signing up MSP partners in 2019 who will offer services to our customers and take complete ownership of our product and service implementation,” said Tom Cheeran, head of channel business, Trend Micro India.

Trend Micro India is offering rebate to channel representatives who have registered to the TrendSetter Channel Rewards program.

Trend Micro moved to a focused partner approach in 2018 offering more benefits. Trend Micro also incubated a few partners into the system who grew up in its culture and were instrumental in helping to build business pipeline.

Trend Micro India is present in all the major verticals, including telecom, banking, financial services, and insurance (BFSI), manufacturing, IT/ITES and healthcare.

Trend Micro has posted sales of $375 million with operating income of $76 million and net income of $64 million for the fourth quarter of 2018. Trend Micro reported sales of $1.449 billion, operating income of $323 million and net income of $255 million in 2018.

Tokyo-based Trend Micro said it is targeting sales of $1.532 billion, operating income of $345 million and net income of $260 million for the year ending December 31, 2019. Trend Micro does not reveal its India revenue.―Infotech Lead
