Site details, geo-coordinates to be displayed on communication towers: WPC

The Wireless Planning and Coordination (WPC) wing of the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has decided that the site details, geo-coordinates to be displayed on communication towers/masts.

“The competent authority has decided “SACFA Site ID” and “Six digit Geo-coordinates” of the sites as cleared by SACFA Secretariat shall be affixed/displayed prominently on all the Towers/Masts by the concerned TSP(s),” the official circular by WPC stated. “This shall comes into force with immediate effect,” the circular concluded.
