Samsung To Bring Galaxy M Series Smartphones To Offline Stores

Samsung has been quite busy in India this year, with the company launching a number of new smartphones and even adding to its portfolio smartphone series such as the Galaxy M. The series was announced with a clear intent to tap the e-commerce market and as such its devices till now have remained as online exclusives.

However, that could be about to change.

As per a report by ETTech, Samsung India has issued an advisory that its Galaxy M series smartphones will not be online exclusive, and would in the future be sold via brick-and-mortar stores. There is no clarification on why the company has decided to go ahead with this, but the report suggests that since Samsung enjoys a strong presence in the offline segment, and there is good demand for M series of devices there, it has finally decided to sell the phone through brick and mortar stores.

Citing senior executives, the report goes on to claim that Samsung India has informed the retailers of this decision through WhatsApp groups last week. But Samsung isn’t the only one looking to expand business in the offline segment. Earlier, Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo and Realme also responded to demands by retailers who want the companies to release their popular online only offerings.―Times Now
