Samsung expands Vietnam plant with $920 mln investment

Samsung Electro-Mechanics Co Ltd, on Wednesday, invested $920 million in a production facility in northern Vietnam, the local government said in a statement.

Production of printed circuit boards and other phone components, in Thai Nguyen province, will benefit from the investment. This will raise the company’s total investment $2.27 billion, the government said in a statement.
