S21 delivered a record-high profitability for Samsung in Q1 2021

According to the latest report from our Wireless Smartphone Strategies (WSS) service, Samsung reported a solid Q1 result. It shipped nearly 77 million smartphones globally and captured 22% market share in Q1 2021, ranking as the largest smartphone vendor globally. Samsung also outperformed the overall market with +31% annual growth rate by smartphone shipments.

Thanks to the earlier launch cycle and practical pricing strategy of GS21 series, Samsung smartphone business registered a record-higher operating profitability in Q1 2021, growing +51% YoY. Smartphone wholesale revenue also went up annually. CT Bureau
