R&M Investing Big Way
R&M India was seeking a new infrastructure solution to meet the high requirements in terms of quality and processes at R&M. Jakkur, located just to the north of the current site in the north east of Bangalore, proved to be the ideal site. It is a great location in terms of logistics, being around 20 minutes from Bangalore’s international airport.
The office areas and the new production center were refurbished in accordance with R&M quality standards. In addition to conventional connectors such as LC, SC, and E-2000, the new plant is also producing multifiber cables in all configurations and cable types. The customer experience center (CEC) coming up at the new site will provide live experience of the products to the customers. The plant will be fully operational very soon at Jakkur.
“This all means that 2018 will be characterized by huge expansion in production capacities, where soon over 400 of our colleagues will be producing FO solutions in accordance with Swiss and R&M quality standards. With the Jakkur site up and running, R&M can gradually continue to develop as an internationally recognized FO specialist.”
