The changelog reveals that the latest OxygenOS 5.1.7 update brings improvement in the Bluetooth stability for phone calls and connectivity in cars. Overall, the size of the update for those who installed the previous OxygenOS 5.1.6 update is around 38MB, while the OnePlus 5 and 5T users who decided to skip the previous update will see a bigger update size. According to a Reddit user, the update size is around 1622MB. Considering the update size is pretty big, it is recommended to connect your OnePlus 5 or 5T to a Wi-Fi network.

How to Install the OxygenOS 5.1.7 Update

The OxygenOS 5.1.7 is rolling out to all OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T users via over-the-air (OTA) update. To download and install the update, users with one of the two compatible phones will need to head to the Setting menu, then to updates and can then check if there are updates available. If there are updates pending, ensure to connect the phone to a Wi-Fi network and backup all your data before installing the update.
