O2 And Sophos Join Forces To Bring Cybersecurity Products To Business Customers

Posted by O2

Telefonica UK (O2) and Sophos, a global leader in next-generation cybersecurity, today announced an agreement to offer Sophos products and services to the mobile operator’s business customers in the United Kingdom.

As a result of the agreement, O2 is now offering its small and medium-sized business (SMB) customers Sophos’ advanced security solutions for mobile devices, computers, servers, and email, as well as its encryption software tools. O2 business customers that sign up to use Sophos via O2 will be granted access to the Sophos Central cloud-based security platform to deploy, configure and manage their services, making it even quicker and easier for them to secure their organization.

All Sophos products purchased through O2 are complemented by a range of support services, including professional services, training and premium customer support.

Maria Fernandez, director of SMB Sales, O2, said: “As our customers become increasingly mobile and make greater use of cloud-based services, they have told us that a comprehensive security solution that is simple to manage is key to keeping their business safe. Sophos, with the O2 wraparound support, helps provide the security our customers need, so they can focus on running their business.”

Jonathan Bartholomew, senior director, EMEA Channel at Sophos, said: “We are delighted to be working in partnership with O2. Sophos security has proven itself time and again across the rapidly evolving cybersecurity landscape and our ultimate aim is to ensure every business everywhere is protected from existing and emerging threats. This agreement makes the sophisticated protection we offer easily and seamlessly available to O2’s small and medium-sized business customers.”

Sophos’s next-generation security products help businesses reduce their exposure to cybersecurity risks by using behavioural analytics and machine learning to identify known and previously unseen threats. It is the only cybersecurity company to deliver synchronised security, where protection on endpoints and firewalls share information about network traffic and respond to hidden threats in real-time.―CT Bureau
