HMD Global-owned Nokia has been on a launch spree this year. The Finnish smartphone company has revised some if its existing smartphone series by announcing their 2018 variants. These include Nokia 2.1, Nokia 3.1, Nokia 5.1, Nokia 6.1 and Nokia 7.1. In a latest, the company has teased another smartphone on its twitter handle. “The picture’s about to get rosy with an epic viewing experience. Get ready to #ExpectMore”, the company wrote in the tweet.
In a 9 second video shared by it on Twitter, the company poses the question “What do you expect from red?” and ends with a caption reading “Get ready to #ExpectMore”. Although the company did not reveal the name of the teased smartphone, but reports suggests that it is likely to be the Nokia 8.1. Others also suggest that it could be the Red colour variant of the company’s Nokia 7.1.
Earlier this month, HMD Global chief product officer Juho Sarvikas confirmed on Twitter that the company will host an exclusive launch event on December 5 in Dubai to launch multiple smartphones. It is speculated that one of the phones could be the global variant of Nokia X7 or the Nokia 7.1 Plus. However, new reports suggest that the Nokia X7 might get launched as the Nokia 8.1 Plus, instead.
Specifications of Nokia 7.1
For those unaware, Nokia 7.1 is the company’s first mobile offering PureDisplay screen technology. The handset features a 5.84-inch FHD+ IPS LCD screen. The display has a pixel resolution of 2246×1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19:9. The device is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 636 chipset and runs Android Oreo 8.1.
