MR could become reality in next few years: Meta to advertisers

Facebook owner Meta Platforms Inc has told advertising agencies that Mixed reality (MR) technology could become a reality for consumers in the next few years.

The technology could let the user wearing an MR headset use a real world object to trigger a reaction in a virtual world. For example, hitting a video game character with a real world cricket bat.

Advertisers can leverage this technology to push ad campaigns on the metaverse.
