MeitY extends SPECS by one year

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, has extended the Scheme for Promotion of Electronics Components and Semiconductor (SPECS) by one year.

India Cellular & Electronics Association (ICEA) chairman Pankaj Mohindroo has welcomed the government order.

“This is a good opportunity for the Indian electronics industry to continue to grow and innovate. With the extension of this scheme, more local and global manufacturers will be able to participate and contribute to the development of the electronics manufacturing industry in India. Let’s continue to work towards creating a robust and self-reliant tech ecosystem in India. And creating a meaningful share of global electronics manufacturing in each important vertical as per our Vision 300 billion USD,” he said.
