Lenovo Teases A Four-Camera Smartphone, May Be Misleading Again

Lenovo tricked (kind of) customers when it teased the Lenovo Z5 on the web, indicating a bezel-less display. But unfortunately, the smartphone did come with a notch, disappointing many. Now, the Chinese tech firm has once again teased a new smartphone that is supposed to have as many as four cameras. But this could also be a misleading one as well.

The teaser image of the upcoming smartphone was shared by Lenovo’s vice president Chang Cheng on Weibo. The image doesn’t show the smartphone per se but it shows four cameras, which could anything from four rear cameras to triple rear cameras + front facing camera or dual front and rear cameras.

However, the probability of the upcoming smartphone sporting four rear cameras seems more as the image shows the square setup with a flash in the middle. We’re not yet sure how it will be different from other camera setups.

The image also suggests that the smartphone will be arriving this month, that means October 2018 but the exact date hasn’t been mentioned. The image also states that the camera will have ‘AI’ abilities.

There are speculations that the teased device could be the Lenovo Z5 Pro. The smartphone was teased by the company vice president few weeks ago and has not yet seen the light of the day. Based on several leaks the smartphone is seen from the front. The four-camera setup could be at the back.

On a related note, Lenovo’s foldable smartphone also leaked a few days ago in a video. The 10-second video was uploaded on Weibo by YouTuber called Jed John. It looks a lot similar to the phone which the company showcased in 2016. The smartphone has a tall and slim form factor and one can easily wear it around their wrist like a smartwatch. – Gadgets Now
