Kickstart your career in tech with TPG Telecom’s new Early-Careers program

TPG Telecom is on the hunt for the next generation of technology leaders with the launch of its first ever Early-Career STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) program.

With the start of the new Uni semester just around the corner, the new program targets early career tech professionals, ranging from final year university students to those with up to three years industry experience. The program provides the opportunity to kickstart a career in the fastpaced, technological environment of one of Australia’s leading telecommunications companies.

The paid program will run for 18 months, allowing participants to work alongside and learn from industry experts and senior leaders within TPG Telecom and its family of brands including Vodafone, iiNet, felix and more. Successful applicants will work across a broad range of emerging technologies including 5G, Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence as they rotate through three roles in Engineering (Networks & IT), Technology Security, and Project Management/Governance/Service Ownership.

“Our 18-month program has been specifically designed to provide aspiring tech leaders an allround experience of working at one of Australia’s biggest telecommunications companies,” said Vanessa Hicks, TPG Telecom Group Executive, People Experience.

“You’ll work with some of the smartest minds in telco, have access to mentors and coaches and be provided the tools, support and experience you’ll need for a great career in STEM.”

“At TPG Telecom we are focussed on building a great culture that values diversity and creates inclusive experiences for all our people. So, if you’re enthusiastic, curious and love the fast-paced world of tech and telco, then TPG Telecom is the place for you.”

TPG Telecom is committed to developing tech talent and innovation and has successfully run multiple STEM initiatives for its employees and communities. These include Girls in Tech Day with Inspiring the Future Australia, Dream Connection with Goanna Education and Vodafone Next with Coder Academy, which won the inaugural ACOMM Award for Diversity Inclusion in 2020.
