HMD Global elevates Jean-Francois Baril as Chairman & CEO

Resignation of HMD Global CEO, Florian Seiche came as a surprise as no succession plan was shared by the company. Even now there is no official information about new CEO from HMD Global (Nokia Mobile). It, however, seems that HMD Global Co-Founder Jean-Francois Baril has donned the CEO hat after departure of Florian Seiche.

The updated LinkedIn profile of HMD Global Co-Founder, Jean-Francois Baril mentions him as “Co-Founder, Chairman and CEO” now. This update also clarifies that he has been acting as HMD Global CEO for last two months.

Jean-Francois is a veteran ex-Nokian (12 Yrs 11 Months). He worked as the Senior Vice President Sourcing and Procurement in Nokia until Nov 2011. He later co-founded HMD Global in December 2016. Since then, he has been acting as Director and Executive chairman for the company. Nokiapoweruser
