DIPA compliments Rajasthan govt for constitution of task force

Digital Infrastructure Providers Association (DIPA), an apex industry body representing Digital Infrastructure providers industry in India applauds the Rajasthan Government for constitution of the Task Force under the Chairmanship of Principal Secretary, Urban Development for the use of Government Infrastructure/ Street furniture for the rolling out of 5G networks in Rajasthan and issue necessary amendments in Rajasthan.

DIPA the leading telecom industry association represents the telecom infrastructure providers such as American Tower Co., Indus Towers, Summit Digitel , Tower Vision, Ascend Telecom, Sterlite Technologies, Space Tele Infra, Suyog Telematics, iBus networks, V-Con Telecom as well as energy solution companies like Applied Solar Technologies have been following up with Rajasthan Government in the earlier State Broadband Committee (SBC) for this necessary amendment.

In continuation with other states like Punjab and Kerala, now Rajasthan has also constituted the Task Force.

T.R.Dua, Director-General, Digital Infrastructure Providers Association, said,” We are thankful to the Government of Rajasthan for the constitution of Task Force, this will have a critical role in achieving the National Broadband Mission targets and faster telecom roll-out in Rajasthan. In various SBC, representatives from DIPA with the support of Department of Telecommunications have been following up with Rajasthan Government for the changes in Rajasthan RoW Policy, this is a fruitful outcome of those numerous efforts. With 5G coming with a highly promising speed and data rate and a 100X increase in site capacities not being feasible, the coverage of the Base Stations and the possible distance travelled by the signal will be reduced highly affecting the reach of the network. Smalls Cells will improve coverage in high density and low signal areas ensuring network connectivity everywhere.”
