C‑DoT to equip Delhi Police with secure, indigenous AI‑enabled policing

Delhi Police has inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Centre for Development of Telematics (C‑DoT) to deploy a suite of nine indigenous solutions aimed at strengthening smart, secure and tech‑driven policing in the national capital. The collaboration seeks to enhance operational efficiency, secure communication, surveillance, cybersecurity and emergency response, in line with the government’s Atmanirbhar Bharat vision for public safety and law enforcement.

Under the agreement, C‑DoT will roll out tools such as an AI‑enabled Facial Recognition System for tracking suspects, repeat offenders and missing persons, SAMVAD and SAMVAD Prime for encrypted messaging and voice‑video communication within the force, C‑DoT Meet and Mission Critical Services platforms for secure video conferencing and low‑latency coordination during emergencies, and an Intelligent Attendance System to curb proxy attendance and streamline administration. The deployment will be backed by Trinetra ESOC and Trinetra 360 cybersecurity platforms, a cell broadcast solution for geo‑targeted public alerts, and quantum‑based encryption products to protect Delhi Police’s critical IT infrastructure and sensitive communications, with senior officials from both sides projecting the initiative as a model for future‑ready policing across India.
