Assam govt gives immediate clearance for 3642 RoW pending applications

Digital Infrastructure Providers Association (DIPA) an apex industry body of telecom infrastructure providers has applauded Assam Government for accepting deemed approval clearance resulting in 3642 RoW applications are deemed approved with immediate effect.

This is truly a big step towards our Prime Minister’s Vision: Digital India & Smart Cities.

Applauding Assam Government, T.R.Dua, Director-General, Digital Infrastructure Providers Association(DIPA) said,” Representatives of DIPA have been making enormous efforts with Assam Government for the implementation of the policy through the joint meeting, submissions with various advisories and directions by the Department of Telecom (DoT), Team of National Broadband Mission (NBM) and today finally we have deemed approval clause in Assam. Further to that Assam has become 5th State after Jharkhand, Rajasthan, Haryana, and UP to adopt deemed approval. We also thank DoT and NBM Directorate for their continuous support towards this achievement”

DIPA represents the telecom infrastructure providers such as Indus Towers, American Tower Co., Summit Digitel (earlier Reliance Jio Infratel), Tower Vision, Ascend Telecom, Sterlite Technologies, Space Tele Infra, Suyog Telematics, iBus networks, V-Con Telecom as well as energy solution company like Applied Solar Technologies.

Single-window Online Clearance in a time-bound manner (deemed approval) is one of the salient feature of Indian Telegraph RoW Rules November 2016.
