Alok Ohrie Appointed India Chief At Dell Technologies

Alok Ohrie is now the India leader for Dell Technologies.

Alok Ohrie’s new designation will be President and Managing Director, Dell Technologies, India as confirmed by a Dell spokesperson exclusively to IDG India.

In his earlier role, Alok was president and managing director at Dell India.  He was leading the commercial business for Dell EMC in India since 2016.

“As we focus on delivering the best for our customers, we have unified our sales teams in India under Alok Ohrie. Customers and partners will not see any change in their relationship with Dell,” added the Dell Spokesperson in a statement to IDG India on the recent change of Alok’s designation.

IDG India was first to report in September 2016 on the new India leaders for Dell EMC. Rajesh Janey and Alok Ohrie were appointed to spearhead the enterprise and commercial business respectively for Dell EMC in India.

Both senior leaders were part of EMC and Dell (before Dell announced to buy EMC in end of 2015) respectively.

The seven companies under the Dell Technologies umbrella witnessed the drift towards ‘Dell Technologies’ in varied measures at Dell Technologies World (DTW) last week.

Dell EMC Partner Program is now Dell Technologies Partner Program, and senior global executives of Dell EMC and other group companies are now designated to belong to the parent company, these were some of the announcements made at 2019 edition of DTW.
