Airtel Nigeria Inks Partnership Deal With Coverage Broadband

Airtel Nigeria has announced a partnership with Phase 3 Telecom subsidiary Coverage Broadband to launch the 3flix mobile TV service in Nigeria. Under this partnership, customers who subscribe to a special, bundled data plan on Airtel will now have unfettered access to 3flix live television channels.

The 3flix TV app is designed for smartphones and can be downloaded directly from Google Play store (Android). The tariff for the service is NGN 20 for daily subscription and NGN 75 for a weekly subscription. Coverage Broadband is a subsidiary of Phase3 Telecom, and has been issued a mobile TV/OTT broadcast licence from the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), and a VAS licence from Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC). – Telecom paper
