Airtel announces ex-Micron executive Varun Singla SVP and CISO

Telecom major Airtel has roped in Varun Singla as SVP & Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) of the company. He will be reporting to Pradipt Kapoor, Chief Information Officer (CIO), Airtel.

In this new role, Singla will be driving next-generation cyber security initiatives and contributing to the ongoing innovation and business growth at Airtel.

As the CISO, Singla will contribute to the IT legacy and leverage his expertise in IT security, risk management, network security, Data protection, etc. Besides, he will drive cutting-edge cyber security initiatives and solutions while addressing industry trends, customer expectations, and business requirements.

Prior to this role, Singla worked at the US-headquartered Micron Technology as Vice President and Chief Security Officer. He has about 18 years of experience in the cyber security domain.
