Airtel adds 2,900 5G sites across Punjab, Haryana, HP and J&K

Bharti Airtel, one of India’s leading telecommunications service providers, has announced the deployment of more than 2,900 new 5G sites across the Upper North region over the past 12 months, significantly enhancing network coverage, speed and customer experience.

The expansion spans 77 districts and now provides high-speed connectivity to over 28.6 million customers across Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir.

The rollout extends reliable 5G services from major urban centres and emerging towns to remote rural areas, enabling seamless digital connectivity across the region.

With more than eight new sites being activated daily, Airtel said customers are benefiting from faster internet speeds, uninterrupted video streaming, quicker downloads, improved remote working and learning experiences, and dependable digital payment services.Newspapers

The expanded network footprint is expected to benefit citizens, students, micro-entrepreneurs, businesses and government institutions alike by providing enhanced access to high-speed 5G services in both urban and rural markets.
