A Note From Balesh Sharma, Ex-CEO, Vodafone Idea Limited To His Colleagues And Business Associates

I wanted to let you know personally that after two and half fabulous years at Vodafone India and one year at Vodafone Idea Limited. I am moving back to Vodafone Plc. UK for personal reasons.

I am super proud of my team that has worked tirelessly integrating two of the largest telecom providers in India. Compressing the integration timelines to 2 years from the original 4 years and then delivering 70% of synergies in the very first year is no mean feat. I say it as a matter of pride that “They are the best in the business”. I have learned so much during my time here and enjoyed every minute of it.

Starting September, I would be spending seven weeks at Harvard Business School doing an Advance Management Program before I take charge of my new profile.

Indian telecom landscape is set for a stupendous growth, both in demand and cutting edge technology deployment. and I am co.dent of Vodafone Idea playing a Lead role in the same. I wish Ravinder Takkar. the new CEO and the entire team of VIL all the very best for completing the Integration. winning the hearts of the customers by delivering superior network experience and gaining in the market place.

I would like to thank every member of my team. colleagues from Vodafone and ABG groups and all my friends Like yourselves for all the support These are relationships that I will cherish all my life.
