UPC Poland adds half million homes to footprint in network deal with Fiberhost

Cable operator UPC Poland will use a fibre-optic network deployed by the company Fiberhost, a subsidiary of the cable operator Inea, to expand its services footprint. The agreement will expand its network coverage by 548,000 households, in the Dolnoslaskie, Kujawo-Pomorskie, Lubelskie, Lodzkie, Mazowieckie, Slaskie, Malopolskie and Opolskie regions.

UPC Poland is the first operator to sign an agreement for providing services on the network. It was deployed by Fiberhost under the third call of the state broadband programme POPC.

In December 2019, UPC Poland and Fiberhost signed an agreement on wholesale services under the BSA model on networks deployed under the first and second rounds of the POPC. In total, UPC Poland will have access to 1.7 million households over networks deployed under the POPC.
