Samsung launched its first Android One smartphone — Galaxy J2 Core last year at Rs 6,190. The company is now all set to launch its successor. Galaxy A2 Core this year. It is expected that the Samsung Galaxy A2 Core will be cheaper as compared to its predecessor. According to Mumbai-based retailer Mahesh Telecom, Samsung Galaxy A2 Core is expected to be priced at Rs 5,290 which is approximately Rs 1,000 cheaper than Galaxy J2 Core.
At this price point the smartphone will give tough competition to the recently launch Android One smartphone from Xiaomi Redmi Go which is selling at Rs 4499.
The Samsung Galaxy A2 Core is expected to come with a plastic body design and measure 141.5 x 70.9 x 9.1mm. The device is likely to come with a 5-inch qHD display with 960×540 pixel resolution.
The smartphone is said to run Android Go Edition of Android 9.0 Pie out-of-the-box. Rumors also suggest that the smartphone might come with Samsung Manager feature which will help in optimizing the device performance by closing the apps running in the background. Along with this, it will also prompt the users time to time to uninstall unwanted apps which they have note used for a long time.
The Samsung Galaxy A2 Core is said to be powered by company’s own Exynos 7870 processor paired with 1GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage. The users can further expand the storage by adding a microSD card.
The device is said to come with a single lens 5MP rear camera and a 5MP front shooter for selfies. The device is expected to house 2,600 mAh battery and offer4G, VoLTE, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS as connectivity options.―Times of India
