Realme X50m 5G with 120Hz display and Snapdragon 765G launched in China

Earlier this year in January, Realme launched its first 5G enabled phone — the Realme X50 5G — featuring Qualcomm’s mid-range Snapdragon 765G chip. Soon thereafter, the company launched the Realme X50 Pro, a full-blown Snapdragon 865 powered flagship featuring a 90Hz display and 65W fast charging. Adding on to the list, Realme has now launched another 5G-enabled smartphone as part of its X50 series — the Realme X50m 5G.

The all-new Realme X50m 5G looks to be just a Realme X50 5G from earlier this year with a slightly different camera setup. It features the same Snapdragon 765G SoC, a 6.57-inch FHD+ dual hole-punch display with 120Hz refresh rate, 4,200mAh battery with support for 30W fast charging, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Much like its predecessor, the device also runs Realme UI based on Android 10 out of the box.

In the camera department, instead of the 64MP primary sensor, Realme has now included a 48MP primary sensor. While the 8MP wide-angle camera and 2MP macro camera remain the same, Realme has replaced the 12MP telephoto camera on the Realme X50 with a 2MP monochrome sensor on the Realme X50m. Over on the front, the primary 16MP Sony IMX471 remains the same, while the 8MP wide-angle camera has been replaced by a 2MP sensor for depth perception.

Pricing and Availability

The Realme X50m 5G has been priced at CNY 1,999 (~$282) for the 6GB RAM variant, while the 8GB RAM variant has been priced at CNY 2,299 (~$324). The device will be available in two color variants — Galaxy White and Starry Blue — and will go on sale in China starting April 29. As of now, Realme has not revealed any details regarding the launch and availability of the Realme X50m 5G in other regions around the world.
