Union Minister for Communications and Development of North Eastern Region, Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, presented the TSDSI Outstanding Technical Contributions (OTC) Awards for FY 2025–26 at the valedictory session of the 9th TSDSI Tech Deep Dive (TTDD) 2026 Conference held at Hyatt Regency, New Delhi.
The awards, instituted by the Telecommunications Standards Development Society, India (TSDSI), recognise individuals from member organisations who have made significant contributions to telecom standardisation and technical activities during the financial year across TSDSI’s two Technical Study Groups—Services & Solutions and Networks.
This year’s recipients were recognised for their contributions to emerging technologies, including 6G, artificial intelligence, security frameworks, and next-generation railway communication systems.
Among the awardees, Abhijan Bhattacharyya of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) was honoured for his work on the TSDSI standard titled “Multi-user Semi-Autonomous Telerobotics System – QoS Aspects” and the technical report “Framework for AI/ML Operation Splitting in 6G Context.”
Saurabh Khare of Nokia Solutions & Networks India Pvt. Ltd received the award for his contribution to the TSDSI technical report “Study on Security Enabler for 6G,” while Siddharth Das, also from Nokia Solutions & Networks India Pvt. Ltd, was recognised for the technical report “System Requirements for NR-based Future Railways Mobile Communication System.”
Congratulating the awardees, Scindia said their contributions would help elevate India’s standing in the global telecommunications ecosystem. He noted that the recipients, irrespective of their parent organisations, would play a key role in taking India’s technological capabilities and standards leadership to the global stage.
TSDSI said the awards reflect the growing importance of collaborative research, innovation, and standards development in shaping the future of telecommunications. The organisation congratulated the awardees and commended their continued efforts to advance telecom technologies through standards-driven innovation.
