Lt Gen Dr SP Kochhar at Convergence India 2023

Convergence India 2023 is being held in the Capital, March 27-29, 2023.

In the inaugural conference session, Rethinking the role of telecom and connectivity, Lt Gen Dr SP Kochhar, Director-General, COAI said, “1st phase of 5G rollout involves heavy investments from service providers & requires support from Govt. Adaptability of 5G will depend on use cases developed particularly for India & affordability of devices.

5G to 6G would be an incremental change in technology, rather than a transformational change like from 4G to 5G. We need to have a proper strategy and supportive policy in place for 6G on the topic “Rethinking the role of telecom and connectivity.”
