Jagbir Singh appointed as CTO, Vodafone Idea

Vodafone Idea has appointed Jagbir Singh as the chief technology officer. He succeeds Vishant Vora who left the organisation after a decade long stint.

Jagbir is a highly experienced telecom technology professional with over 30 years’ experience across India and South East Asia where he has been Group CTO with different telecom operators. He has led technology platforms across 4G LTE, 3G/2G, data centre, Open RAN, IP/MPLS, CDN, NFV/SDN, OSS/BSS for mobile, fixed line and enterprise networks. He has led inter-generational technology and architecture transformations and has been involved in very large 4G network rollouts and operations.

Jagbir is presently working as Group Chief Technology Information Officer at Smartfren Telecom, Indonesia, responsible for Network, IT/digital platforms and enterprise business. His earlier stints include at Reliance Jio, Samsung and Airtel.

During the interim period as Jagbir relocates to India, Rajinder Singh is officiating as CTO.
