India Telecom 2023 is being held in the Capital

India Telecom 2023 event jointly organised by the Department of Telecommunications and Telecom Equipment and Services Export Promotion Council (TEPC) is being held in New Delhi March 22-23, 2023.

The main objective of the event is to provide opportunities to startups, MSMEs and Indian telecom stakeholders to meet prospective overseas buyers. Additionally, the Indian innovators were also felicitated on the occasion. These included innovators of the 5G Hackathon, the Advance Optical Communication Testbed Project, the 5G O-RAN Project and the Digital Communication Innovation Square.

Ashwini Vaishnaw, Minister of Railways, Communications and Electronics & Information Technology inaugurated the event in the gracious presence of Minister of State for Communications Devusinh Chauhan.

K. Rajaraman, Chairman Digital Telecommunications Commission & Secretary, Department of Telecommunications, Ministry of Communications in his keynote address said, “India is deeply committed to the goals of connecting the unconnected, making telecoms services affordable and making it inclusive and accessible to all sections of society. It will act as a hub for startups, researchers and government policymakers to converge and to share experiences that enable greater good for this area, taking into account that all of us in this area are largely developing countries that are focused on the bottom of the pyramid.”

Rajesh Kumar Pathak, Secretary, TEPC delivered the vote of thanks.
