GSMA congratulates Doreen Bogdan

The GSMA warmly congratulates Doreen Bogdan Martin on her election as Secretary General of the ITU.

Mobile technologies and digital transformation have a critical role to play across the globe, as powerful enablers for economic growth, development and inclusion. Harmonisation of solutions, and collaboration between the public and private sector, have never been more important in driving this agenda.

We look forward to continuing our longstanding and close collaboration with the ITU under the leadership of Ms Bogdan Martin as we seek to maximise the benefits of mobile connectivity for citizens worldwide. We also sincerely congratulate Bogdan Martin for the phenomenal achievement of becoming the first woman to hold the position of Secretary General in the ITU’s 150 years history.
