Bharat Bhatia represents India at APT Wireless Group, Vietnam

India is actively participating in the 31st Meeting of the APT Wireless Group (AWG-31) being held in Hanoi Vietnam from May 22-26, 2023 with 22 delegates (11 participants representing the Indian administration and 11 participants representing IAFI).

The meeting is being hosted by the Ministry of Information and Communications, Socialist Republic of Vietnam. AWG covers various aspects of emerging wireless systems to meet the emerging digital convergence era in the Asia-Pacific region. It also assists to provide effective radiocommunication solutions and to facilitate the transfer of technology and knowledge. One of the main items at this meeting is the study of Wi-Fi in 6GHz band. The task group on Wi-Fi in the AWG is chaired by Bharat Bhatia, President IAFI. The Task group under the chairmanship of Bhatia is currently working on two APT reports, one on Wireless Access Systems/Radio Local Area Networks (WAS/RLAN) in the 6 GHz frequency band and the other on AFC enabled standard power Wi-Fi mode operating in the 6 GHz band.
