VoWiFi Calling Service Is Now Available On Reliance Jio (In Selected Circles)

Reliance Jio brought a lot of changes in the Indian Telecom industry. Very first only Reliance Jio launched Volte in India. But after that in VoWiFi got launched by airtel before anyone into India.

VoWiFi calling service is now available in India with few telecoms partners for few states and cities. Here Airtel has launched it’s first and now silently Reliance Jio has launched it.

What is VoWiFI?

VoWiFi stands for Voice over Wifi. It is a technology to VoLTE and IMS technology which provides a voice calling service.

Jio VoWiFi works on all kinds of indoor WiFi networks and public WiFi hotspots. However, Airtel offers only works on Airtel Xstream Fiber but this Jio VoWiFi is not restricted to its JioFiber Service.

This VoWiFi will help Jio to improve the indoor voice calling for all the users. VoWiFi service does not need any separate app or a new number or any log-in to work. All the customers can use it on any WiFi connection they have in their home.

With this move, the telecom Jio will take on over-the-top players like Whatsapp. You can do voice call for free with this WiFi and it is free to use in the apps like Whatsapp, hike and WeChat.

This jio service is available on Apple and Samsung smartphones as of now. And soon it will be available on all the smartphone from other brands.

With the help of VoWifi, the users can make outgoing calls even in a poor mobile network.

Reliance JIO launched VoWiFi in which Circles?

Reliance Jio has silently launched voice over WiFi (VoWiFi) calling service. However, for now, this service is available in multiple circles including Delhi-NCR and Chennai.
