Vodafone Idea subscribers face network issues in Chandigarh

Several subscribers of Vodafone Idea (Vi) in the city reported data connectivity issues, especially during noon, and call disruptions. Many users reported no access to the Internet and intermittent reception in connectivity.

The network outage was a cause of big worry for subscribers, as several customers were still working from home and heavily depend on the Internet and voice calls.

A majority of subscribers complained about data services and some subscribers even reported network outage, especially during voice calls, even at the time of filing this report.

An email sent to the Vodafone-Idea company regarding poor connectivity issues and what they are doing to ensure seamless service, did not elicit any response till the filing of this report.

This is not for the first time the subscribers of Vodafone-Idea are feeling harried. Last month also they faced a similar kind of issue. This is evident from the fact that perturbed over poor signals, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mandip Singh Brar instructed the telecom player and others to take steps to improve signal reception.

According to experts, as several organisations resorted to work from home and others adopted e-learning, it led to an upsurge in Internet usage. However, the infrastructure was not upgraded in sync with it. The Tribune
