TEMA/CMAI compliment govt on release of new TEC MTCTE procedure version 3.0

TEMA/CMAI compliments and thanks Sr DDG TEC, Tripti Saxena under the leadership, of Member Services, AK Sahu and Secretary, Dr Neeraj Mittal for issue of revised version of MTCTE Procedure manual.

This is big initiative in Ease of doing business and simplification of procedures as undertaken by the Government. MTCTE is mandatory testing of all telecom products in Indian network whether imported or domestically manufactured.

This includes testing by RTEC as witness testing without NABL. Almost all products in simplified category, except Radio/wireless products. However, test wise compliance and test reports from Lab to be submitted. Adm fees also reduced. MTCTE validity increased from 5 years to 10 years. Labelling requirements changed. Revised family/associate models clauses. CAB test reports for GR/ER acceptable for MTCTE. BIS lab test reports for safety test standards acceptable. TAC/IAC/TA/TSEC/SAC accepted for MTCTE till kits validity. Security of network as given by DOT-NCCS added as one of purposes of MTCTE. Spare Cards or Chassis/components/modules/Transceivers such as SFP/Patch cord EXEMPTED from MTCTE.
