Singtel, Asia’s leading telecommunications technology group, today announced a strategic partnership to offer Zscaler’s security solutions in Asia, a first for the region. Enterprises regardless of business size will now have seamless access to Zscaler’s Zero Trust Exchange™, a cloud-based platform through Singtel’s Managed Security Service Edge (MSSE) suite of services, which include pre-sales to post-sales support from dedicated cybersecurity experts as well as resources such as platform consultation, build implementation, maintenance and round-the-clock threat mitigation.

“This partnership is a key milestone in our strategy to expand across Asia Pacific. As the leading cybersecurity services provider in the region, we provide maximum security to users, workloads, and devices over any network from any location through our wide portfolio of comprehensive services. With our partner, Zscaler, we’ll be able to provide more dedicated, holistic managed security services which will help our customers bolster cyber resilience.” Lim Seng Kong, Managing Director, Singtel Enterprise Business

Mr Lim Seng Kong, Managing Director, Singtel Enterprise Business, said, “This partnership is a key milestone in our strategy to expand across Asia Pacific. As the leading cybersecurity services provider in the region, we provide maximum security to users, workloads, and devices over any network from any location through our wide portfolio of comprehensive services. With our partner, Zscaler, we’ll be able to provide more dedicated, holistic managed security services which will help our customers bolster cyber resilience.”

As the rate of enterprise digitalisation continues to accelerate at an unprecedented pace, so does the risk of cyber threats. According to the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore, 2022 saw a heightened cyber threat environment worldwide, with cyberattacks becoming more prevalent and sophisticated in nature. Against this backdrop, Zscaler’s Zero Trust Exchange™, a platform that implements Zero Trust principles which assert that no user or application should be trusted by default, strengthens the digital security of enterprises by implementing strict controls and verification mechanisms. Through this partnership, Singtel’s MSSE offers businesses impacted by insufficient in-house resources or skillsets an all-in-one digital security solution that helps to protect their digital assets against cyber threats.

“Both Zscaler and Singtel have a common goal – to offer our enterprise customers a simple, scalable and managed security solution in the cloud that addresses cyber risk and intrusion incidents – enabling organisations to have the peace of mind to focus on their core business,” said Mr Foad Farrokhnia, Head of Channel & Alliances, Asia Pacific & Japan at Zscaler. “The Zscaler Zero Trust ExchangeTM, which Singtel’s MSSE is built on, processes 300 billion transactions and blocks around 150 million daily threats and rule violations. Leveraging Zscaler’s cloud-native platform helps customers reduce cost and complexity in their security stack. It also enhances the user experience by delivering rapid access to required applications anywhere.”

Cyberattacks are considered among the world’s fastest growing crimes today. Beyond financial losses, cyberattacks can lead to reputation damage as well, while consumer data, when compromised, can subject organisations to strict regulations and costly settlements. According to the FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center 2022 Internet Crime Report, the agency received more than 800,000 cybercrime-related complaints in 2022, with losses totaling over $10 billion. In the face of today’s global cybersecurity talent shortage enterprises can leverage Singtel’s resources and skillsets as a trusted Managed Security Services Provider of Zscaler’s solutions.
