Revamping of Heads of Accounts at DoT

The matter regarding implementation of new heads wef April 1, 2022 onwards has been discussed and deliberated at DoT HQ in wake of the directions issued by CGA for its implementation wef FY 2022-23 and non-inclusion of new heads of accounts in UBIS by the Department of Economic Affairs (Budget Division), MoF from which detailed demands for grants are generated.

The issue has also been discussed with the O/o CGA on March 24, 2022 who has stated that due to paucity of time it would not be feasible to implement the same wef Apr 1, 2022 onwards and will be implemented from FY 2023-24 onwards. And OM 5181- 6227 dated December 7, 2021 withdrawn.

Existing heads of accounts under major heads shall remain active till receipt of further orders from Director (Budget), DoT (HQ), said the note.
