Rajkumar Upadhyay, CEO, C-DoT granted a 2-year extension

Rajkumar Upadhyay, CEO, Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DoT) has been granted a two-year extension by Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC). Upadhyay will remain at the helm till July 9, 2025.

Upadhyay was promoted as CEO in November 2022, after he had been Executive Director and Chairman Board for two years. He has also served as Additional Director General, Doordarshan & All India Radio, Prasar Bharti, and Director/Deputy Director General, DoT.

An IIM-Bangalore and an IIT-Roorkee graduate, he has been deeply entrenched in the Indian telecom scene.

He has had a pioneering career spanning 31 years, reflecting strong leadership qualifications and with hands-on expertise in Telecom, Information Technology (IT), Defence and Broadcasting sectors. And has also published technical and academic articles in magazines and journals.

Winner of J. C. Bose award (1987) by Ministry of Defence, National e-Governance award (2007) by Government of India , CIO 100 award ( 2007) by International Data Group (IDG), Deepak C. Jain Award ( 2009) by IIM Bangalore, the veteran maintains focus on achieving strategic objectives while formulating and implementing advanced technology and business solutions to meet a wide range of needs.
