Railtel Corporation Q4 net profit up 19.4%
Railtel Corporation Ltd reported 9.47% higher consolidated revenues for the Mar-21 quarter at Rs429.82cr. On a sequential basis, net sales revenues were up 4.68% compared to total revenues in the Dec-20 quarter at Rs410.60cr.
Full year revenues for FY21 were 22.2% higher at Rs1,378cr. In terms of verticals, the telecom services saw growth of 26.8% yoy at Rs255cr while the project work services vertical saw revenues fall nearly 10% to Rs174cr on a yoy basis. The company is an exclusive telecom service provider to the Indian Railways.
Net profits in the Mar-21 quarter were 19.39% higher at Rs27.21cr as the higher EBITDA margins on telecom services more than offset the sharp fall in EBITDA margins of the project work services division. During the Mar-20 quarter, the company also provided Rs49.3cr as impairment losses in the North Eastern project underlining the profit growth .
Net margins at 6.33% in the Mar-21 quarter were higher than 5.80% in the Mar-20 quarter but lower than 16.97% in Dec-20. Final dividend Rs.1.20 takes annual dividend to Rs.2.20/share.
