Proximus increases speed of fibre products, launches 10 Gbit/s technology

The rollout of the best Gigabit network in Belgium is one of the main strategic priorities for Proximus. Proximus’ ambition is to provide all families with a Gigabit connection by 2032, and fiber is an important enabler in this regard.

At the end of March, Proximus had reached a national coverage rate of 23%, with nearly 1.4 million homes and businesses connected. The fiber rollout is currently under way in 106 towns and cities across the country. In the Brussels region, more than 50% of the population is already covered.

Flex Fiber packs, tailored to the customer
With the rollout of the Multigig technology in all fiber zones in Belgium and the launch of the new Flex Fiber packs in the residential market, Proximus is once again making its mark on the Internet market.

From 10 July, residential customers can choose, depending on their needs, between three superior Internet speeds from the packs below:

Customers can enjoy better Wi-Fi in more rooms, thanks to the Wi-Fi boosters included, and unlimited calls in Belgium over the landline.
  • Ultra Fiber, for €42 extra per month compared with the standard pack: the ultimate Internet experience with speeds of up to 8.5 Gbps download /1 Gbps upload, 90 times faster than the median Internet speed in Belgium.
