Orange ranked best mobile network in France for the 13th consecutive time

This year again, the results of the ARCEP annual survey on the quality of mobile services position Orange as the best mobile network in France. Orange remains the leader in voice, SMS and data and comes 1st or tied for 1st on all 278 performance criteria measured.

As in previous years, this ranking reflects Orange’s desire to offer its customers, both general public and professionals, the best quality of service on the market and reaffirms the Group’s leadership in the daily lives of the French:

  • No. 1 for the mobile internet experience whatever the uses (web browsing, video viewing, use of collaborative tools in a professional setting) and in all residential areas combined, both in large cities and in the countryside (dense, intermediate and rural areas). Orange is 1st or tied for 1st on all 160 criteria measured. Orange is notably the operator which most often achieves download speeds greater than 3 Mbit/s, 8 Mbit/s and 30 Mbit/s.
  • No. 1 for all voice and data uses inside buildings and in living spaces (supermarkets, shopping centers, cultural places, etc.). Orange is 1st or tied for 1st on 70 criteria measured, including 23 where Orange is the sole leader.
  • No. 1 in rural areas , remaining number 1 on voice, SMS and data criteria by positioning itself 50 times 1st or tied for 1st out of 50 measured criteria.

Orange pays particular attention to the quality of its network inside buildings, particularly in its customers’ homes and in the workplace.

Orange also offers the best voice quality throughout the country, whether for traditional voice calls or for voice calls made via internet messaging and telephony applications (Orange No. 1 or No. 1 tied on the 24 criteria measured).

Orange reaffirms its leadership by offering the best performance:

  • on the rail routes: Metro, RER, Transiliens, TGV, Intercités and TER (Orange 1st or tied for 1st on the 25 criteria measured)
  • on main roads: motorways and secondary roads (Orange 1st or tied for 1st on the 5 criteria measured)
  • and in tourist areas (Orange 1st or tied for 1st out of the 48 criteria measured).

Jean François Fallacher, Deputy Managing Director, CEO of Orange France declares:

“This first place, for the 13th consecutive time, constitutes great pride for Orange and its teams who work tirelessly on a daily basis to deploy more efficient networks in all territories. It demonstrates our expertise in meeting the needs of the French in their everyday lives. But also our ability to manage major events such as the Rugby World Cup France 2023 which is coming to an end or even the Olympic and Paralympic Games of Paris 2024 during which all our teams will be mobilized to ensure the very good operation of our mobile networks.»
