Nepal Telecom enhances 4G services with installation of 5 BTS towers in Dang

Nepal Telecom has installed a total of 5 BTS towers in Dang in the current fiscal year FY 2080/81. The move aligns with the company’s plan for aggressive expansion and improvement of its 4G services across the country. The state-backed company provides 2G, 3G, and 4G, among other services under its GSM mobile service wing.

Those five cell towers aka base stations are set up in Baspokharai of Ghorahi, Tamase in Tulsipur, Chiraghat and Baghmare in Shantinagar, and Simthana in Dangisharan inside Dang. After these towers came into operation, Ntc customers have seen their signal coverage improve. Likewise, high-speed mobile broadband 4G, and 3G as well as 2G voice have improved significantly. Thanks to the 4G network, customers can also activate Ntc VoLTE and benefit from HD voice and data services simultaneously.

More mobile towers in Dang- Nepal Telecom
Nepal Telecom Dang Chief Santosh Sharma says that the company plans to immediately bring into operation more mobile towers in the district. He shared that the plan has suffered roadblocks due to the electricity but maintains that after the power bill meters installation, more areas will have new Ntc towers. Sharma said that soon, Bhaluwang, the Lumbini province capital, and Bela in Rajpur will have fully functioning GSM base stations. Nepal Telecom has a long-term plan to use its 4G LTE towers for 5G Non-standalone architecture. The company is testing 5G at its offices in Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Birgunj.

Likewise, the next batch of towers will be erected in various areas in Dang. This includes Gadhwa Rural Municipality-2, Gadhwa-6 Khahare, Fukresalli in Dangisharan, Babai Kumalgaun, Malai, Bhauwana in Koilabas, Gurung Gaun etc. Nepal Telecom has reached a land deal to build towers. Sharma says that the tower construction work will begin soon.

There are currently 103 BTS towers of Nepal Telecom in Dang. These towers help the company operate 4G and legacy networks- 3G, and 2G for its customers. The company uses 800 MHz and 1800 MHz bands for its 4G service.
