Govt likely to present draft Digital India Bill in two weeks

The draft of the much-awaited Digital India Bill to govern emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and quantum computing is likely to be thrown open for public consultation in the next two weeks. The proposed law may include provisions requiring companies to inform consumers how their data is being processed. The draft was due to be released earlier this month but was held back for fresh consultation with legal and industry leaders.
